Seagreen Phase 1

Seagreen Phase 1 is a 454 MW offshore wind project in Scotland that secured a Contract for Difference in Allocation Round 3. The site has 114 turbines rated at 9.2 MW each. REPD lists the operator as SSE / Seagreen Wind Energy Ltd. Its strike price is £41.61/MWh in 2012 prices; 8 of the 35 offshore wind contracts have a lower strike, and it is £23.02 below the technology average of £64.63. The 6 offshore wind contracts awarded in AR3 range from £39.65 to £41.61/MWh, averaging £40.63. The plant is recorded as operational from 16 October 2023, but no CfD settlement has been published yet, so it may currently be selling its output at market prices rather than under the contract. LCCC's auction data puts it at around 569,520 homes powered.
